This Memphis, Tn native has taken an alternate route in making music in the bass heavy-gangsta rap that is coming out of the city. Though always a big fan of Eightball and MJG and Three Six Mafia, MaxPtah's roots lay within the lyrical and sample heavy sound of New York and the soulful sounds of the legendary Stax Records which is right around the corner from where he stays now in South Memphis. The emcee/producer plays a heavy part in Memphis's Hip Hop scene where he's produced for a number of the artists, recorded them, and on occasion has also directed videos for them.

After a long hiatus from doing the music thing in order to focus on other priorities he is now ready to get back to what he loves the most. Music.
