There are Four bands with the name Marlowe. One is a US synthpop/post-punk revival duo from New York, Kathryn and Craig Marlowe. One is a South African rock band that enjoyed a meteoric rise to fame with their album 'Lines From the Broken Telephone.' Another is a Liverpool-based band: Back in the day, Simon Bradshaw (lead vocals, guitar, keys, accordion) got together with some old school friends Aron McGee (drums) and Paul (bass) and started to put together some tunes, they decided to branch out a little musically and so asked Chloe to add some flute to one of their tunes.

Back in the day, Simon Bradshaw (lead vocals, guitar, keys, accordion) got together with some old school friends Aron McGee (drums) and Paul (bass) and started to put together some tunes, they decided to branch out a little musically and so asked Chloe to add some flute to one of their tunes. Due to a misunderstanding she went away and wrote parts for all the songs and so became the fourth member of Marlowe. A string player was added who subsequently left, along with the bass player and they were replaced by Rachel Brewster (violin) and Edwin Bruce Pink (bass). A second violin player - Claire Swift (violin and cello) - soon came aboard the Marlowe ship full time in order to fatten out the sound and finally a trumpet player named Chris Doherty (trumpet and flugel) was brought in to add depth to the brass section. Marlowe's album 'Deep Breathe Fake Air' is a fourteen track masterpiece containing all the elements that every music lover looks for when adopting a new band, it isn't hard to see why the late legend John Peel honored Marlowe with their own Radio 1 'Peel Session', with XFM and Radio 6 following suit, whilst MTV2 had two singles on heavy rotation. Marlowe have successful UK tours under their belts and successful stints at festivals - 'Popkomm' in Berlin and 'South by Southwest' (Austin, Texas), alongside acts including The Kaiser Cheifs, Bloc Party and Graham Coxon. Their single 'Performance Monkey' was produced by the legendary mixers The Beatmasters, with a hot video to match, filmed in Zane Lowe's 'Gonzo' studio.
The latest one is a band from Montr?al.
