His first songs were about love and life and his latest, 'More Than Words' follows suit nicely. Each track was carefully crafted and emotionally charged. Listen for 'Trust In Her', the dream song that takes his best experiences and forges them into one; secretly revealing what he's really looking for in a woman. "I Got Time" will take you to a personal romantic place but contrary to the title it's just for a moment. The rest of the song is spent drifting off with violin and cello. And "Life", of course, is about just that; a five minute synopsis of his path.
Markmichael's story begins on the east coast of the United States-Springfield, Massachusetts. Early on he found his expression in sketch art, closely followed by his love for instruments. He's studied viola, cello, guitar, bass, and piano. A child with mixed artistic talents but there's always been something extra special about song, and singing. Songwriting leads him to producing his own music and inevitably to writing and producing 'More Than Words'. Some of his earlier inspiration came from such greats as Sade, Babyface, Prince, and Stevie Wonder. Today, he's a Coldplay, Lenny Kravitz, Norah Jones, Kanye West, and John Mayer fan - just to name a few.
From east coast to the west, he settles in Los Angeles where he currently resides. Look for him on the L.A. music scene. If not with his band you may catch him with just his keyboard and his guitar. Markmichael continues to seek out what drives him and his purpose. He believes in the power of love. At a time when it's not hard to find noise and confusion in the world, Markmichael produces a softer angle to the same old madness.
