MAN THE MOON officially started in 2002 in Denver, Colorado. The original name for the band was Time Well Spent but it wasn't until December 2006 that the change was made. Man The Moon started with Luke Corliss and his brother Ely Corliss. After adding Joel Matthews on the drums the brothers recruited their friend Arin Silverstein on lead guitar and in May of 2005, after months upon months in the studio and 3 years of shows the band independently released their debut album Stand Out.
After the release the guys were already moving on, writing new songs and playing better and better shows in the Denver scene. The band has played everywhere from Coors Field to the little mountain town of Bailey, performing with countless bands including Alien Ant Farm, Spill Canvas, Weather, Self Against City, The Fold, and The Junior Varsity.
In late 2005 after recording a new demo and gearing up for a new album release the band added Kris Becker to take over on lead vocals. A couple shows later and a new demo featuring Becker under their belt, everything just seemed to click.
On June 23, 2006 Man The Moon (still known as "Time Well Spent") released In The Race For A Dream. In The Race For A Dream is a compilation of all the group's demos and recordings from 2005 and 2006. It is a "full-length" 13-track album.
In December of 2006 Man The Moon recorded and released their first EP entitled And Yet It Moves. The band has also gone on a regional tour to promote the release of the extended player. ?The Dream Catalyst Tour?, with California band Missing Since Yesterday, was booked and promoted entirely by the bands and was the second tour Man The Moon has been on.
Man The Moon is a group of five musicians dedicated to their craft and of course getting their music heard. The guys are currently promoting they're new album, playing out, in and around the Denver Metro area, as well as touring the region year round.
