Liz Frencham is a singer, songwriter, and double bass player originally from Wollongong, Australia. While studying jazz at the Conservatorium of Sydney she met Greg Bryce and Caroline Trengove, and in 1997 they formed the band which became Jigzag. For more than a decade she has played just about every folk festival in Australia. In great demand as a female double bass player, she has shared a stage or studio with artists including Jodi Martin, Fred Smith, Chris While and Julie Matthews, Kavisha Mazzella, and The Waifs.
Her first solo album, Jericho was released in 2005. Early in 2008 she released an album of duets recorded without overdubs - you and me vol.1
At the beginning of 2008 she is a member of Jigzag, Dev'lish Mary, The Lawnmowers and Frencham Smith, as well as performing solo.
