The band released a single 7 inch EP ("Happenstance Chronology"), two compact discs ("Long Busride from Capital City," 1997, and "Fading Scars," 2007) and was featured on several obscure compilations.

Laughing Stock was formed by former members of the long-running Corpus Christi hardcore/punk/etc act The Krayons and focused on abrasive, melodic indie ala Superchunk, Cursive, Jawbreaker, Avail and so on. The band's entire original output was released on Twenty First Century Recordings (TFC).
