Land Of Charon

Land Of Charon is a cult Hungarian underground band. They have one demo (?-r?km?cses) and two albums (Asztr?lg?p, A L?z). Their music was labelled as "goth" , "dark rock" and "doom rock" but they prefer the tag "occult rock" as the best. The music is complex, multi-layered and atmospheric, sometimes reminds of Fields Of The Nephilim. On their last album, A L?z (The Fever) they obtained a more metallic sound.

Around 2004-2005, due to personal conflicts and lack of relative success, bandleader-guitarist-singer Janeth put the band on temporary hiatus.

In the year of 2009 Janeth reformed Land Of Charon, with long-time companions Bal?zs Holly (bass), Ferenc ?nekes (guitars) and Norbert Kov?cs (drums). They will appear on some festivals in Hungary and new LOC material is on it's way, too.
Additional info: however Janeth remains the sole composer and guitar player in the band, he will focus on being a frontman on stage and will not play the guitar live anymore.
