As a graduate from Brigham Young University, receiving a Bachelor of Music in Composition, and graduate work from the University of Southern California, Alan has provided unique and memorable musical scores to more than 50 motion pictures and television films in the past decade including the Academy Award nominated IMAX film, ?Amazon?, Sony Pictures Classics' ?Mark Twain's America? and some of the highest rated movies made for television. Alan composed the award-winning score to the animated film, ?The Princess and the Pea? and also co-wrote the original songs with Grammy Award winning Lyricist David Pomeranz. He has been awarded the Insight Award for Excellence for his score to ?Kilimanjaro: To the Roof of Africa? as well as 7 Accolade Awards for Best Original Score.

He has also had the pleasure of collaborating with the legendary actors Hume Cronyn, Jack Lemmon and Jason Robards in some of their final screen appearances.
