Joseph Davancens

Astoria, Queens musician Joseph Davancens creates experimental pop with a heavy emphasis on instrumental texture. He utilizes a variety of techniques, from classical composition to digital sound processing to weave songs that are both sunny and mysterious, transcendent and full of magic. Born to a family of inventors in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains in Northern California, Davancens relocated to New York in 2000 to attend college.

He released the EP "Acorns" in 2006 and is currently writing music for a new album featuring his newly formed band featuring members of New York bands Rider and The Magic Caravan.
