John Zedd started out playing guitar for change on the streets of Ann Arbor, Michigan. With the "The Kroks", he was able to tour the world, singing in Seoul, Tokyo, Cairo, and Paris. At one point, John serenaded Glenn Close at the Hasty Pudding Awards. Musically, his ambition is to write about universal things in an original and complex way, using counter-melodies, harmonies and non-standard arrangements.
When he's not writing songs, John loves running, backpacking in the Georgia mountains, and sitting on the porch singing with friends. Besides spending time with his wife and daughters, John's favorite things include: pick-up basketball, his handmade Goodall guitar, and Astral Weeks by Van Morrisson.
