His early band, The Derelllicts mixed elements of Monty Python, They Might Be Giants and the Residents together to create quirky topical songs doused with mad-capped genius. After gaining a cult following he felt it was time to move on and in 2000 he joined the acoustic-rock band Patchwork as the bass player, but eventually he performed as both the lead guitarist, but as the bands following grew so did their interests in different musical directions, that eventually led to Jared leaving Patchwork in 2001 to begin his own solo career.
Mixing genres and expanding musical tastes have influenced Jared to play and perform everything from jazz to avant-garde and alternative rock. His energetic blend of biting sarcasm, humor and melancholy has stirred up a loyal fan base.
Never content to stick with just one style or to pigeonhole himself into a category, Jared is a fresh and invigorating new voice in the music community. His refusal to compromise has helped expand his audience worldwide and there is no signs of slowing down as he continues to record and perform while searching for that unique record label that will lead him into the future.
