I was born in St. Louis Missouri. My mother's family moved to Missouri from Chicsaw County, Mississippi. My great grandfather played banjo. My father's family came from Tennessee. I started out as a clarinet player and moved on to the trumpet. I attended Mississippi Valley State on scholarship. I've been performing music for 34 years. I also teach digital audio engineering. I plan to make a series of instructional dvds.
