Isamu Nakashio, Guitarist. A native of Japan Mr. Nakashio began his guitar studies at an early age; he has an extensive background in performance and teaching. He received his Bachelor's degree in music from the New England Concervatory of Music in Boston, and completed two masters of music degrees from Yale University in New Haven and Mannes College of Music in New York. He also received four diplomas from the Internationalen Sommeracademie Mozarteum in Salzburg. Mr.

Mr. Nakashio has studied for several summers in Domain Forget in Canada with David Russell and Manuel Barrueco; his teachers include Niel Anderson, David Leisner, Fredric Hand, and Benjamin Verdery. As a performer, he has performed at many places internationaly including Italy, Austria, Canada, and Japan in addition to perfomances throughout the US including his solo recital debut at the Carneggie Hall in New York in 1998. Mr.Nakashio made his CD debut from Eroica Record in 2002, and currently he is a faculty at Cerritos college and Santa Ana college.
