Inish Turk Beg

The Inish Turk Beg Sessions musicians, led by Lord of the Rings flute soloist, Alan Doherty, reinvent Trad with a new energy and subversively fresh sounds, before pumping a bold, new Irishness into a collection of great, contemporary tracks which feature musical contributions Moya Brennan (Clannad) and Peter Molloy and is produced by Lance Hogan. Travelling from tender to mischievous, from Then to Now, the listener will find it hard to believe that the very same instruments, in the same place, in the same hands were able to produce such enormously diverse and exciting music.

Inish Turk Beg is an island off the West Coast of Ireland, in Clew Bay, County Mayo. It provides the DNA for its brand, which is active in Music, Art, Food, Whiskey, a Connemara Pony Stud and Island Stays.
