Heavy Hearted

There are multiple bands with this name: 1) Pop Punk/Hardcore band from Santa Rosa, CA just released their new record "When You Were Home" 2) Melodic hardcore from Rochester, NY. Formed in 2007, Heavy Hearted consisted of members of local hardcore bands Hangin' Tuff and Words We Spoke, as well as national bands such as Buried Alive, Despair, Polar Bear Club and Roses Are Red. Heavy Hearted signed to Detonate Records in early 2007, and announced the early summer release of their CDEP 'Overcast'.

Heavy Hearted signed to Detonate Records in early 2007, and announced the early summer release of their CDEP 'Overcast'. Soon after, ex-Polar Bear Club member Kevin Mahoney left the band to pursue other musical interests, and was replaced by long-time friend Nate Derby.

The band embarked on tour with label-mates Carry The Torch, and Energy (Bridge 9) during Summer 2008 which was followed by a tour in early September 2008 with Reign Supreme (Malfunction Records).

The band went on hiatus at the end of 2008; Devon and Nate formed the band Such Gold, while Chris, Brent and Jesse currently play in Abominations.
