Heartstrings

Heartstrings is Maciej Telezynski. Born 28.10.1985 (autumn seems to be weaving through all of his songs), grew up in a peacefull district of Gdansk, Osowa. After finishing Music School in 1999 (faculty of piano), picked up a guitar and it has became his main instrument. From that moment he have gave up piano and touches it once a year to play Christmas songs. First, fascinated by the sound of his teenage heroes (Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden), he made his songs electric.

Everything has changed in Oct. 2004, close to his 19th birthsday, due to the realase of Elliot Smith's album: ?From The Basement On The Hill?. It was the first time Maciek heard Elliot music, and since then Elliot's became his songwriting idol and guitar master. Maciek started to write acoustic songs, and never really got back to his electric guitar. His songwritting attempts have resulted in playing a small concert on 22.05.2008 in his house, and that's when Hearstrings came into exist. After hearing some positive opinion about his work, Maciek recorded his demo (recorded and mixed by Tomasz Musielak), containing four tracks, in Sept. 2008.

Heartstrings' making simple, acoustic songs- overflowing with melancholy, based on Verse/Chorous/Verse structure.
