Simply put, Grand:pm is a band in motion. Naturally, there are the constants; the clash of the punk-rock pedigree and the classical child prodigy; the growing legacy of high-energy performances and the trial by fire emergence as the only pop-rock band from a primarily metal and hard-core scene. In December 2005, Grand:pm was beginning to see some of the fruits of their labours. The band was in talks to sign a recording contract with indie label Curve Music; the entire pressing of their debut EP, "Redblack" was nearly sold out, and the band was operating under Cerberus Artist Management.

Without pause, the band continued to surge forward ? playing frequent live shows and writing a collection of new songs as they prepared to head into the studio with noted producer Ziad "Zee" Al-Hillal (Simple Plan, Our Lady Peace, The Weakerthans).
As the ink dried on the contract, the band threw itself into the studio and began working tirelessly on an album that was the culmination of years of work; a further exploration of the ideas on the EP, and documentation of the continuing development of the band's sound.
In September, the band played to a packed and responsive Frannz Club in Berlin, Germany as Canadian pop music ambassadors at the Popkomm Music Festival.
Having returned home, the band is currently in the final stages of their album ? a process they admit has taken longer than expected.
Today, Grand:pm is a band on the edge of completely uncharted territory; about to release an album that will be distributed nationally and overseas. A year from now, there will be more to tell, and even more to look back on. One thing can be counted on with absolute certainty:
Grand:pm is a band in motion.
