Gomba Jahbari

Gomba Jahbari is a reggae band from Puerto Rico. The group's name originates from a S. African dialect and it literally means "Brave Warrior". Gomba Jahbari is made up of eight musicians who are all from San Juan, PR. The lead singer and percussionist Carmelo (Melo) Romero and guitarist Miguel Lamp?n came together in 1998 to form this dynamic group. They were featured on Soldiers of Jah Army's album Get Wiser.

Gomba Jahbari attributes their musical style and influence to many reggae artists including Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Aswad, The Itals, and Burning Spear. They write and sing songs in both Spanish and English.
