One of the Semi-finalists at the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions 1996/ Eastern region in NYC, is a Higher Lebanese National Conservatory graduate, with a Bachelor of Arts in Law/ St. Joseph Univ. and a Master's in Vocal Performance/ Rice Univ. in Houston, TX. Her Houston Grand Opera D?but was in Le Nozze di Figaro/1991. Had won the Encouragement Award from the Wagner Society, in NYC/1995.
Has also concertized in Russia, Japan, Lebanon, Canada, and the USA at major concert halls like Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Brooklyn Museum, Dag Hammerjskold Auditorium, the General Assembly at the United Nations Headquarters, Symphony Space, CAMI Hall, Merkin Hall, MIT Univ., Detroit Museum, George Washington Univ., Ann Arbor, Agnes Scott college in Atlanta, The Museum of civilizations in Ottawa, Univ. of Massachusetts etc., in the Tchaikovsky Hall /Moscow and in Act City Hall in Hamamatsu /Japan, The Royal Palace Theater/ Amman, The International Damascus Festival, the Babylon Festival... Miss Ghanem resides now in Lebanon and teaches voice at the Lebanese Univ. and at the Higher Lebanese National Conservatory.
Miss Ghanem can be heard in ?After Black Room', A Composition by Sarah Plant (A Middle Eastern Chant on Robaiyyat Omar Al-Khayyam), commissioned by Bill T. Jones Dance Group, New York - 1996. Her first self-produced recording is titled ?Come ready and see me' - 1997 and is a collection of love songs in Russian, French, English and Arabic. Her appearance and production of the new Arabic operetta ?Ornina' in 1999, made her perform it in Lebanon as well as in the International Damascus Festival in Syria and made her win the first prize at the Babylon Festival in Iraq. In August 2004, Miss Ghanem gave a solo concert with Pianist Ramzi Yassa, sponsored by Talal Abu Ghazaleh& Co International at Cambridge University in England. Her Cambridge University Classical Concert was also out in 2004 and was recorded at Tibor Varga Studio in Sion, Switzerland.
