Adrenachrome is a progressive hard rock band comprised of seven hard working musicians based out of Lansing, Mi. These 8-year veterans have been through hell and back again, creating music reflective of both the good and bad times. In April of 2002 Adrenachrome recorded ?The Loud Mouth Soup Demos? at MPA studios in Canton, Mi with producer Chuck Alkazian behind the board. This 4-song demo helped build the foundation of Adrenachrome's fan base with the circulation of 10,000 copies in the Midwest region.
In between playing gigs at venues such as St. Andrew's Hall in Detroit, The Temple club in Lansing and The Intersection in Grand Rapids, Adrenachrome continued writing new songs with the intent of releasing the new material by May 2003. With all the momentum of a freight train behind their backs, Adrenachrome experienced a life changing house fire in which the majority of the band along with relatives and close friends barely escaped with their lives. This was the true test of will and endurance for the band. With no house, hardly any gear, and the clothes supplied by the Red Cross, Adrenachrome was still able to play one the largest shows of their career in their hometown of Lansing at the Temple club, bringing in a solid 600 people only one month after the fire.
This was the tone setter for their new 6 song EP entitled ?Show This On Television?, which was recorded once again at MPA studios with Chuck Alkazian in May 2003. On the title track ?television?, vocalist Rocky Rodriguez conveys the morale of the Adrenachrome camp stating, ?the good ole boys never die?, confirming that this bands foundation is concrete and enduring. The meat and potatoes of Adrenachrome comes from guitarists Brad Downs and Dan Gokee chunking out blistering riffs combined with the heavy artillery and precision of Jon Kibby on the drums. Bassist Rusty Kalso brings complimenting bass melodies to the table along with driving low end maintaining the unity and rhythm of the group. The electronic section of Adrenachrome made up of Eric Hansen on the keys, and Dave canfield on beats and turntables, completes the unique sound of Adrenachrome giving this band the foundation for music without boundaries. Sonically this band has been compared to the likes of System of a Down, Sevendust, and (Hed) Planet Earth. Of course Adrenachrome has already established an original sound all their own.
With the summer 2003 release of ?Show This On Television?, Adrenachrome hopes to catch the attention of industry types that are looking for a band willing to create inventive music rather than make a carbon copy of what is already played out on the radio. It is a fact that Adrenachrome will make it in this business of music, the only question is, who will discover this gold mine first?
