Brahimi was born in Algiers, Algeria on 9 May 1972, and has lived most of his life in the district of Belsunce, in Marseille. At first, when IAM was formed in 1988, Brahimi worked with them as a breakdancer under the alias Abdelmalek Sultan, but he soon started rapping and appearing on the group's albums. In 1999, he published his first solo album, L'palais de justice.

3) Freeman (real name Kerry Freeman) Newcomer Kerry Freeman's self-titled 4-track EP produced by Mark and Mike Stitts, delivers a straight ahead rock performance with a vocal depth that seems to jump off the recording. Originally from Dallas, Kerry spent five of his formative years with his family in Jakarta, Indonesia where they served as missionaries with Mission Aviation Fellowship. The result of those years of near isoloation, was a growing introspective side to this young man which can be heard in his music. Kerry Freeman is part of the Renaissance Music Group.

Kerry's powerful rock delivery is enhanced by his natural talent as a songwriter. His first release includes a decidedly broad appeal. It's thickly guitar-laden tracks provide a medium through which Freeman's faith is expressed through down-to-earth lyrical content which will be accessible to all who ponder life, faith and truth. His most popular track, Trying Anyway, can sometimes be heard on alternative Christian radio.

"I'd like to provoke thought through my music," said Kerry. "I want to reach people with a message - but not only Christians - also, the average guy driving down the street."
