After years of writing, touring with Cissy Houston (producing the soundtrack for her film "Sweet Inspiration )and working with many r&b artists in New York City, playing with Whitney Houston, FF moved to LA in the early 1990's producing and writing for film/ tv. FF has produced artists in a wide range of styles, including: Taj Mahal, Billy Bragg, Kim Wilson, Cissy Houston, Joe Ely, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Syd Straw, Ramblin Jack Elliot, Arlo Guthrie/Woody Guthrie.
FF produced the award winning, Grammy nominated cd, " This Land is Your Land", on Rounder records featuring a duet between Arlo & Woody, Also, Daddy -O-Daddy, on Rounder, a compilation of Woody Guthrie children's songs with various artists. FF plays live shows in and around LA as well as Prague, Vienna , Paris and other cities in Western Europe.
He has produced over forty of Woody's songs, co-written with Woody several un-recorded lyrics: "New Baby Train" and "Bigger" both children's songs. Frankie also produced several children's songs resulting in the CD Daddy-O-Daddy from Rounder Records and was nominated a Grammy in 92.
Frankie produced and arranged "This Land is Your Land" home video animation with several other Woody Guthrie's songs.
His newest self produced CD "DEEP BLUE" has been released in early 2010 and is a compilation of pop/blues songs.
DEEP BLUE song has been featured in A&E Entertainment "The Glades" program episode "A Perfect Storm" on July 25th week.
