Filtro Medusa

FILTER MEDUSA, has its beginnings in 2001, the initial idea GERARDO heaviness, founder and co-founder John ARCIRIA, guitarists, and senior member of the band was to create a musical symbiosis with respect to the currents of hard rock and alternative, for this task were attended in their principles of Wilson Rodriguez and David Franz Morales Quintero on drums. In December 2005 the devoted band saw its popularity by winning the award for Best Alternative Band of panamarock.com Awards in that year.

The year 2006 started with the launch of its own production simultaneously with the bands of panamarock.com disk 2006 which began promoting the theme "Eternal Angel" whose video directed by Francisco Pascual gained acceptance for international chain rotation by MTV Latino . At the end of the year will start promoting their own album with the song "Dark Heart."

In June Bethy Garcia is invited to share the stage with legendary musician Paul Dianne English former IRON MAIDEN vocalist thereof in Panama City.

In July the band receives a formal invitation to perform at the 12th. Festival rock to the park to be between 14 and 16 October in the city of Bogota Colombia, becoming the first Panamanian band to be invited to this important festival considered the largest in Latin America.

On October 5, prior to their journey of panamarock.com announces nominees for the 5th. edition and its awards where the band was with four nominations: Best Alternative Band, Best Video, Song and Album of the Year, is one of the groups with the most nominations for this edition. Also in October Rolling Stone conducted a comprehensive Latin America Filter report Medusa.

On November 29 the band will be devoted to the two statuettes of panamarock.com AWARDS in 2006, repeating the Best Alternative Band and won the highest award of the night: Song of the Year for the hit "Angel Eternal."
