Kick EP (Review by Stephen Errity) HOTPRESS:
"Chris Geddes of Belle & Sebastian fame lends his ivory-tickling talents to the title track of this EP.....It gets the record off to a delicate and melodious start ....things are stepped up a little in later tracks, which see O' Sullivan wind her way through an autobiographical narrative..hinting at a Pixies/Breeders-esque swagger...."
STATE MAGAZINE by Aoife McDonnell:
..."We found an honest, airy offering that sparkles in all the right places. It's no wonder that the comparisons to Tanya Donnelly have already started because Femmepop (aka Margaret O'Sullivan) has a voice that you could listen to hours on end. The title track 'Kick' features Chris Geddes of Belle & Sebastian, lending a gentle, melodic start, setting the sincere, heartfelt tone for the rest of the EP.................. this is not frivolous pop to be ignored. State recommends you keep an eye on this Cork woman."
RICHARD USHER BBC RADIO:
"A true talent. Amazing songs with a wonderful voice someone to watch out for."
DAN HEGARTY 2FM:
"A favourite of ours for ages now, and we've finally got her in to record an acoustic Session, and it's brilliant! Hailing from Cork Ms Pop will blow you away with her beautiful vocals."
EDEL COFFEY PHANTOM FM :
"Absolutely fabulous. I can't recommend it enough"
HOTPRESS:
"Margaret O' Sullivan's exquisitely heartrending voice would make even Tanya Donelly want to throw in the towel" "An airy, delicate, intelligent sound that will imprint itself on your bones. Absolutely gorgeous."
