Fariborz Lachini

Born in Iran, Fariborz Lachini's musical career has spanned three decades and transcended both genres and borders -- his musical sensibilities reflect a fusion of Persian and European styles, and the popularity and appeal of his music has expanded beyond the confines of his home country (where his first solo piano album, Golden Autumn 1 - 1990, instantly became a smash success) to classical music lovers worldwide.

Focusing primarily on film composition in recent years, Lachini's music has been showcased in both domestic and international productions. In 2006, his critically-acclaimed score in "Requiem Of Snow", Iraq's submission for the Academy Awards, was cited in Variety as a highlight of the picture Requiem of Snow Theme
