There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Evildead was formed in 1987, after guitarist Juan Garcia and bassist Mel Sanchez left Agent Steel, with the intention to do music more in a thrash metal vein than their old band, which had a speed metal sound. Evildead followed a Vio-lence/Sacred Reich style, with lyrics exploring political and social themes mixed with horror/nuclear war themes. They took their name from the Sam Raimi horror film The Evil Dead.

2) Black Metal band from Slovakia, Bratislava, formed in 2001. The band was founded by Azgath(vocals, guitar, drums), and Dalbaros (bass guitar). Dalbaros left the band in a short time. then the band joined Shadow (vocals) , Guardian (bass) and Mortun (drums). In 2003 comes Astaroth for second guitar and in summer 2004 came more changes. Astaroth leaves and on bass guitar is replaced Postmortis and Guardian was replaced by Morbidus, but he is also leaving the band and is replaced by Nagus Morlor Balcifer, he will also leave the band soon. Like from a leprosy infected band, Shadow leaves the band and Azgath is giving himself possition for guitars, vocals and sometimes keyboards. The band plays as trio until 2006. After few demos, split with Sekhmet and debut album "Spomienky na Predkov" (transl. Memories on Ancestors, released on Osiris 2006) the band is splitting up. Postmortis and Azgath played also in bands Helldriver and Cohan. Azgath has also a ambient/symphonic black metal project called Stronghold, doing all himself
