After learning piano and trumpet throughout elementary school, Erik D. Anderson started playing guitar at the age 14 upon discovering his mother's old acoustic. Since then, guitar has evolved into Erik's instrument of choice, with the likes of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton and Wes Montgomery being the earliest of influences. But as a lifelong fan of motown, swing, and classic 60s & 70s pop, Erik often likes to combine the fun sound of pop with blues guitar lines, or moody piano & acoustic guitars with distant trumpets, reminiscent of oldies ballads with a Damien Rice-like feel.
