Growing up in a very musical and Christian home, Erica Lane was bound to become an inspirational singer one day. She graduated from Crowell High School as salutatorian of her class. She then attended Texas Tech University receiving her bachelors in Music Education. She taught at Madisonville, Texas and Pasadena, Texas. She then married her husband Kyle Saylors, a producer from Greenville Texas. Together they formed a coalition to set out on her music career.
Erica gave up teaching to live her dream. First she and her husband moved to California to work on her first album, "Beautiful City Revisited". She then moved to New Braunfels, Texas and toured many different churches and events displaying her tremendous talent. During the course of this time her husband filmed her show called "Inspired Ambition". This show follows her as she tries to make her way into the industry of christian music. On this show they interview many famous people such as John Schlitt from Petra, Family Force Five, and Michael Tait. She also created two music videos, "One Song" and "Saved Tonight". She has a christmas album available. Now she is living in Nashville, Tennessee with her husband working on her second album and possibly her second season of "Inspired Ambition".
