Emerald Rain is a four-piece melodic rock band from Toronto, Canada. The band was formed in February 1997 by Murray Daigle (lead vocals), Mike Dmitrovic (guitars, backing vocals) and Sean Gregory (bass guitar, backing vocals), but their journey began in 1994 when they called themselves Pain. Within a year of forming, they came to the attention of the Japanese label Alfa/Brunette which released in 1995 their debut album, followed the year later by the second album "Pieces" which gained European distribution through the German company, Maple Leaf Records.
