"The Lone Caroler"
OAKLAND - Nov. 2002 - A pronounced stage actor and soulful crooner, Willie G introduces his new Christmas CD that is certain to be enjoyed by all music lovers. Titled "The Lone Caroler," his collection of original music and Christmas lyrics rivals those of blues legends like Johnnie Taylor, Bobby "Blue" Bland, and B.B. King.
"The CD starts off with "Elves," a smooth song which underscores Willie's velvety voice perfectly," commented Glenna Caserta, music reviewer for the Siskiyou Blues Society. "Santa" (Help Me Lose These Blues), "Hey Neighbor" and "This Year" spin their magic and keep the groove going fervently. "Going Back to Texas" is a slow burner that really delivers. "From Me To You" encompasses excellent horn arrangements and sweet sentiments of loving. "Power of Christmas" is the final song on the CD, and is the perfect ending the soulful Christmas collection.
