If the stars had voices, what songs would they sing? Absorbing, transporting and uplifting soundscapes of the night.
Bio / Background
Inevitably, my music is inspired by the things that inspire me - the hazy heat of an English summer, the innocent abandon of a butterfly's flight, the miraculous promise of elderberries and sloes ripening in the hedgerow - and in the case of this CD, the cool, dark stillness of the night, when the cares of the daytime world recede and the stars reawaken our desire for the infinite.
These pieces share a distinctive palette of sounds. You'll hear harp, choirs, and bells; woodwinds including flute, pan pipes and shakuhachi; and tuned percussion such as marimba, kalimba and log drums. The music is soothing, absorbing, transporting, and uplifting - a healing journey illuminated by starlight.
