The first release by pianist Eric Weinstein. It includes a wide variety of traditional Ragtime and Jazz tunes, as well original material.
Bio / Background
Since I Fell For You is the first release for pianist Eric Weinstein.
This release covers a wide variety of musical styles. It opens up with Jingles (1930) by James P. Johnson. While this rendition attempts to capture some of Johnson's magic on the piano, it also has some original elements created by Eric.
The next three songs are from the Scott Joplin, the King of Ragtime Writers. This set includes the concert piece Bethena - A Concert Waltz (1905), Eugenia (1906) and Solace - A Mexican Serenade (1909).
Also covered are such classic songs as Bewitched and My Romance (Rodgers and Hart), Love Is Here To Stay and Prelude II (Gershwin), and Since I Fell For You (Buddy Johnson).
The gorgeous song 'Forget-Me-Not Rag' was written by the talented Randy Johnson - a piano legend in Colorado.
Two original songs are also featured: The soulful 'Nothing'- originally written in the mid 1990's, and introspective 'Prayerful Improvisation'.
