needing to excavate and exorcise some demons, the creative process took off leading to two quickly released poetry books, two series of paintings, and what some would call a very long-awaited solo album appropriatly entitled "songs for lost souls"(available in the warren steele stylee section of consignment in the record stores of downtown athens ga or straight from the source). this project continues to grow with a second album currently in production. you can look forward to an incresed dose of depressing themes, strung-out sounds, crackhead nature, and the agressive nervous energy, which is abundantly prevalent in this music, in the future. stay tuned to this band 'till the stunning conclusion.

An experimental group based on the creation of art for the sake of art and their appeal for audience reaction, warren steele stylee w/ the strung-out orchestra is a band that is interested in what,to them, is real, the forgotten expressions of the experiences true to life, and the ability to communicate with their audience personally in an indescriminate yet uncomprimising fashion. "Our goal is to be real people who play real music and that,s pretty much it." This along with their alternative (that is, to this planet!!!lol!!!) attitude towards creativity, expressive live act, and music that has been described as "passionate wailing of self doubt and endowment" has earned "the stylee" a quickly growing fanbase(10,000+) and a reputation as one of the more unique and original independent groups in the underground scene. With a review entitled "warren.....originality at it,s best", warren steele stylee's participation in garageband.com's review competition in late 2005, which led to 14 garageband awards including 6 awards for most original artist, best guitars, and two garageband tracks of the day, has won some authenticity for their acclaimed originality.

Fan base in place and the new album "songs for lost soul,s" set for a halloween release with worldwide independent internet distribution, warren steele stylee's focus has turned from a more raw expression to bringing the music to the fans. The upcomming tour aiming for more cities, more venues, and distribution to match is hoping to accomplish just that for the stylee,s fans. the band will also be debuting their new official site www.warrensteelestylee.com hopefully by the end of the year. A band heavily compaired to Tom Waits and Radiohead and influenced by Leonard Cohen and The Velvet Underground, when asked what was thought about the songs in the past it was replied "It,s all just names, noise and voice. Ideas at play. The practical applications are just a playing out of particles. An inconsequential motion that makes the moan; the fuss that brings the fuzz. Those things that bring the noise up from the scratch and make the moments less relaxed. Those are the things i,m interested in. when i think about making music...those are the ones."
