Bio / Background
There is no genre attached with this music. He's one of those individuals you have a tough time explaining. Hidden in the mountains of Georgia alone with the woods, he creates whatever his mind allows. Music with heavy elements of classic country (Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard) mixed with the modern sounds of artists like Beck, Elliott Smith and Ween. Throw in the wonderful harmonies of Brian Wilson, the guitar playing of Neil Young and the experimentation of the Beatles and you may....just may.....be along the right path deep into the woods towards Trappers Cabin! Listen for the music, smell the smoke and begin to smile!
This latest album, "For My Friends", is the story of the animal nation. Loosely based on the "Animal Farm", by George Orwell, "For My Friends" details the rise of the animal nation.

I say "almost," but honestly it is very good, and I just have a very high threshold. It is certainly 90x better than 90% of the country, or wanna be alt-country out there. I agree that there are sounds of Beck, Elliott Smith and even Neil Young. But I think that is actually the only drawback, and why I out this at 4 rather than 5 stars; it just lacks a certain cohesion. But hey, sometimes that is exactly what you want. But for me personally, it is the opposite that makes a great alt-country album. If a song gets to 'alt,' it looses the 'country' that made it great in the first place.
