Traci Rae Letellier is a female singer/songwriter born and raised in the South. Her latest release, '58 Transtar Deluxe, is a whimsical nod to the roots-Americana and alt-country music scene.
Bio / Background
Traci Rae Letellier is a female singer/songwriter hailing from Arkansas who unites the old with the new—the raw with the ethereal. Her crystal vocals and artistic arrangements have earned her a loyal fan-base. Her three independently released recordings explore her musical roots as a Southerner with Celtic ancestry.
'58 Transtar Deluxe (2006)
For her third limited-run recording: '58 Transtar Deluxe—Letellier goes for the gut with an Americana roots-country sound. Made up of all original tunes by Letellier, and recorded with a full band of guest musicians on Saturday, March 25, 2006—'58 Transtar Deluxe is named after the Studebaker truck that once belonged to the grandpa of Letellier's husband.
There were only fifteen 3/4 ton 4x4 Studebaker trucks manufactured in South Bend, Indiana in 1958. Of the fifteen, only ten were sold in the U.S.A.
↓ more ↓Each copy of the '58 Transtar Deluxe (1st edition printing) is hand-numbered up to 500 and comes in a sleeve printed by Stumptown Printers of Portland, Oregon using the old-fashioned letterpress method.
Musicians featured: Traci Rae Letellier – acoustic guitar & lead vocals; David Farley – dobro, mandolin, & banjo; Ryan Shields – piano; Mike Jaspers – electric guitar; Josh Christians – drum set; Brandon Wimberly – bass guitar & upright; and Corrie Beth Wimberly – harmony vocals.
