Bio / Background
Life-changing, life-affirming and life-giving. Three phrases that epitomize the very soul of Christmas. With this significant essence in mind, Three Days Wait took a unique step into the world of rock and concentrated on the reality of Christmas as the core message of their music. With a double-goal stemming from the vertex of these musician’s hearts, profits began to flow to children’s charities, food pantries, mission and pediatric medical needs. Thus giving Three Days Wait the ability to implement the “domino effect” of rocking out and giving out all at the same time. Each note of this band literally reaches and touches the hands and needs of others, all the while bringing entertainment with their “rock out loud” sound.
Bringing a hint of blues, peppered with the root sound of fundamental rock, their all original, new project “Star of Bethlehem” lays a face to the magic of Christmas even on a day in Spring.

Based in Ohio, this high-energy, life-inspiring band continues to break all the rules by bringing Christmas to the front of the page all year long. Lead guitarist, Jim states, “this is rock with a purpose. “ With Nate Wagner, lead vocals; Mike Jessup, drums; Mark Ledford, Keyboards;, Glen Wilson, bass; and Jim Ledford, lead guitars, Three Days Wait are following what they believe are warm footprints laid before them, in the midst of every season. Three Days Wait continues to be “groundbreakers” in the avenue of solid rock music, enticing audiences with a holiday edge!
The members of the Ohio based band "Three Days Wait" came together in 2004 with a specific purpose in mind. Their mission, to share the story of Christmas and the magic of the holiday season in a modern musical way and at the same time provide needed resources for several different charities. A portion of the net proceeds from the sale of the band’s CD’s go toward assisting food pantries, mission work and the medical needs of children.
"Star of Bethlehem" contains a variety of musical styles, but mostly they ROCK.
Review Excerpts...,
...a pleasure all year round..., December 2, 2006

And the out and out winners in this years Christmas special are Christian rockers Three Days Wait who have put together an enthralling set of new songs reaffirming the real message of Christmas.
Working in the classic rock idiom of Dave Matthews Band and Collective Soul, these are songs that will be a pleasure to listen to at any time of the year. There's a funky Spin Doctors type vibe to a lot of the material topped off wih the rich voice of Nathan Wagner.....
.......A delightful record.

Star of Bethlehem, the new CD by Three Days Wait, has a lot going for it, not the least of which is that this is almost entirely new material. Sure, they occasionally riff on an existing carol, but only within the context of a new song. For example, Glimpse of Heaven--an infectious little country rock number, and one of my favorites on the CD-- encapsulates a bit of Silent Night. (This is one of the most original approaches I've seen for paying homage to this ubiquitous holiday ornament, without actually playing the thing.)
Paying homage is something Three Days Wait is pretty good at. The band plays in a number of rock styles, from 70s, Boston-style to post-grunge (the nicely angst-filled Merry Christmas that they held for the finale), even throwing in a faux bluegrass number (Blue Grass Christmas) somewhere in the middle. Snow Blues, in particular, was both a nice turn playing 12-bar blues, as well as being a rather heartfelt secular inclusion ("I've had enough of winter, here in Ohio/I've had enough of winter, in Ohio/Yeah, I"m going south of the border, baby, to live in Mexico").....
....Three Days Wait rock. Their music may not be for everyone, but it grows on you.

This Columbus, Ohio-area band got this CD out just in time for Christmas in 2005, but we're just getting it this year. The band identifies itself, at least for the purposes of ISBN, as a Christian rock band, and this CD is intended to help raise money for several unspecified charities doing work for children. The title song kicks things off in a solid hard rock mode, talking about finding the Christ child, which appropriately leads into a version of "We Three Kings" with a definite Dave Matthews Band flavor to it. "Caroling" is a strong rocker about, well, caroling, and they even refer to "cranking it" and "slap the bass" in connection with serenading holiday listeners. "Snow Blues" is just that, an acoustic blues lament about leaving winter in Ohio for a trip to Mexico. They also take us on a "Sled Ride," promise to rock and roll Christmas with a new "Red Guitar," go bluegrass on, wait for it, "Blue Grass Christmas," and give us an ode to a "Snow Day." Rudolph gets props once more on "Christmas Hero," and they wrap things up with, well why not, "Merry Christmas." The band is an ambitious bunch of semi-pros who have given us a solidly entertaining holiday CD.
