RACHEL TALITMAN

was born in Tel Aviv. After graduating the Music Academy at the Tel-Aviv University, she came to Brussels to study with Suzanne Mildonian at the Royal Conservatory of Music where she obtained the "diplôme supérieur" for harp and chamber Music with distinction. At the same time she specialised in French music with Pierre Jamet in Paris. Prize Winner of the Tenuto Virtuosity Competition in 1975, the International Harp Competition of Paris 1976 and the International Harp Competition Cazala 1977. Harp Professor at the Antwerp Royal Conservatory of Music till 1985. In 1980 she created with the bassoon player Luc Loubry the Harpeggio Ensemble, which has the aim of playing, recording and promoting the unknown repertoire of the harp, which is rich of composers and compositions that contributed to the virtuosity development and recognition of this instrument as solo and chamber music. The discography of Rachel Talitman is vast and original, covering the repertoire of the harp solo, chamber music and concertos.

ETIENNE PLASMAN

Was born in Belgium, 1964, studied at the Royal Music Conservatory of Brussels where he obtained the flute and Chamber Music Higher Diploma with the Greatest Distinction. Prize Winner of the National Competition of Young Solistes and Tenuto. First Prize of the International Flanders Festival Competition and First Prize of the International Chamber Music Festival in Bari. At the age of 24 he was appointed First Flute Solo of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Luxembourg. Etienne Plasman plays regularly chamber music and solo concerts all over the world. His discography includes solo concertos and chamber music. He plays a 14 carat golden flute from Brannen-Cooper.

The duo Talitman -Plasman has recorded the cd recitals of Briccialdi, Torriani and Jongen.

LUC LOUBRY

was born in Antwerp, Belgium, where he studied at the Royal Flemish Conservatory of Music. In 1975 he obtained the Higher Diploma for bassoon and in 1974 for chamber music with the greatest distinction. Later he specialised with Michel Denise in Geneva and Maurice Allard in Paris. Prize Winner of the International Music Competitions "Prague Spring" 1974, Colmar 1976, Tenuto(Brussels) 1977 and Geneva 1980, Luc Loubry is principal bassoon of the Belgium National Orchestra. Since 1993 he is also professor for bassoon and chamber music at the Brussels Royal Conservatory of Music. He plays concerts all over the world as soloist and in chamber music. He is a member of the "Arpeggio" ensemble, the "Avena" woodwind trio and the "Bellerophon" ensemble. His discography (30 CD) covers both the bassoon solo ~ and chamber music repertoire. Luc Loubry plays a bassoon made by Buffet-Crampon and reeds by Glotin, France.

DEJAN BOGDANOVIC

began his violin studies at the Art Academy of Novi Sad University, and later graduated from the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow under the tutelage of the famous violinist Viktor Tretiakov. Mr. Bogdanovic attended the School for Specially Gifted Children. At that time he was a multiple winner of the National Prize for Young Violinists.Mr. Bogdanovic began performing at the age of 10 and, at 17 he gave his orchestral debut with the Dubrovnik Philharmonic Orchestra performing Paganini's First Violin Concerto. At the age of 19, Mr. Bogdanovic became a Laureate at the International Competition of Vienna (final round was broadcasted on Eurovision). In 1987 he was the First prizewinner at the National Yugoslavian Artist Competition. This prize has been given only to three violinists during the past 50 years. Mr. Bogdanovic was a guest artist at many International Festivals, including Khumo International Festival (Finland), Dubrovnik Summer Festival, Portogruaro Music Festival (Italy), "Casals" Music Festival (France), and the Festival of Rome "Ciril e Metodie". He has recorded for broadcast Companies in Austria, France, Italy, Finland, Spain and Russia. At the age of 21 Mr. Bogdanovic became the youngest teacher at the Art Academy of the University in Novi Sad. He teaches in many master classes throughout Italy, and performs as soliste with many chamber and symphony orchestras ,as well as chamber music.

PIERRE-HENRI XUEREB

After a first Prize at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris in viola class of Serge Collot, Pierre-Henri Xuereb studied in the United States, first at the Juilliard School, than at Boston University. He was one of the last students of William Primrose. After listening to him in New.York, Pierre Boulez invited him to join the Ensemble Intercontemporain, where he remained two years.He is now making a successful International career as a soloist and chamber musician, performing with numerous ensembles and orchestras. Regularly invited to play in various chamber music festivals. He has appeared next to musicians as Natatia Gutman, Eugène Istomin, Oleg Kagan, Gary Karr, Janos Starker, Walter Trampler. He has recorded numerous works for labels such as 3D, Timpani, Harmonia Mundi, Calliope, Deutsche Grammophon, and now for Talent (Dom 291012).Pierre-Henri Xuereb teaches viola at the Paris Conservatoire, as well as in various international music academies.
