Bio / Background
Swing Soup is an eclectic blend of Western Swing, Blues, Honkytonk, Bluegrass, Jazz And Doo Wop. The songs have been described as "catchy melodies with colorful lyrics." The sound has been written up as "something different that you can't get out of your head." The Academy of Western Artists has nominated this album for Album of the Year, Best Group of the Year, Song of the Year(Cowboy State of Mind), and Best Male Vocal. This is for 2002. Also group of the year for 2003.
Every member has paid his dues in the music business and has become an expert with his instrument. Together they are a force to be reckoned with. Smooth guitar, spicy fiddle, too hot piano, a solid rhythm section and harmonies that will melt any ear. All these ingedients make for a soup that really swings.
