Bio / Background

Steve Lucas - programming, 6 string bass/fx, fretless bass, Fender Rhodes.

Special guests: Andy Ballantyne (saxophone), Mike Sim (saxophone), John Johnson (saxophone/bass clarinet), Rick Shadrach Lazar (percussion), Ben Riley (drums, drum samples)

Steve Lucas is an international recording and touring musician/bassist/producer who has just released his 2nd CD titled "Gamma Jazz", which explores the modern styles of drum 'n bass, trip hop and jungle. Steve Lucas' bass playing and complicated beat programming propel his ten original jazz-fusion compositions which also feature blistering guest jazz musicians. Other current projects include his 3rd North American tour with famed Canadian musical artist, Bruce Cockburn, showing Steve's diverse talent in various musical styles, as well as an instructional DVD of modern bass techniques.
