Bio / Background
It's been said that the best rule of storytelling is embellishment. I don't know who said it, but in most cases it's true. However, the story of Spell Toronto will be filled with pure facts, I promise.
The band started like many others in the sense that they came from a slew of different bands that are not really worth mentioning. Out of those bands comes one to speak of. Spell Toronto is comprised of four members whose influences range from hair metal to funk, hip-hop, and punk. When the band formed they took a turn from these influences and remembered the great indie-rock bands from their hometown of San Diego. In the early nineties, most people were setting their sites on the flannel wearers of the Northwest. These kids however, were paying a lot of attention to the college rock and underground scene that they were too young to participate in.
This brings us to the members. Danny King is the band's drumming wizard and youngest member. Naturally, he is the most picked on.
