Shimshai shows his most intimate, sweet connected self to us on this most wonderful offering. Of course all of his offerings are wonderful. But this one ... I was instantly transported to a place on a soft cushion near his prayerful voice and the Ukulele, guitar or piano he accompanied ... I felt so very little space between myself and the tunes. His always-welcome mix of multicultural influence is on this disc - Spanish, Hebrew, Andean, Hawai'ian. And look and marvel at where this man creates his sung prayer-gifts! Imagine creating this beauty at a Peruvian orphanage? Or traditional Hawai'ian prayer (adapted by Volcano-town music goddess Lila Flood) sung on the remote eastern shores of Maui. Or a prayer sung about the singer's love and reverence for water. We are truly, truly gifted with Shimshai in our lives, and most specially this gentle and healing CD. If you ever feel like giving a gift of love to anyone ... anytime ... this would be an excellent choice. Riverotter
