Bio / Background
THIS LIMITED EDITION CD IS SOLD OUT.
IN BETWEEN showcases the eclectic, provocative songwriting that prompted Rolling Stone senior editor David Wild to proclaim Amos "a new American singer-songwriter of the first order" and compare him to such legends as Randy Newman and Bill Withers. Writer Michael Toland (HighBias.com) says In Between is "armed with [Amos'] most consistently memorable tunes to date".
In Between once again features Uncle Tom: Robert Jolly - drums; co-producer Patrick Milligan - banjo, guitars; Ben Peeler - lap steel, dobro; Roger Len Smith - bass.
Spanning a wide stylistic terrain, the ten songs on In Between range from ragged glory rock ("Bastard Wind") and pop explorations ("Sugarsweet") to acoustic ruminations ("Sick Of Me") and a bluegrass reinterpretation of Led Zeppelin's "Hot Dog".

The album is okay. The samples are a pretty good indication of what it's like. The best song on the album is the Hot Dog cover. It kicks. Not a bad album all in all. But Hot dog is worth the price of the album all by itself.
