I saw their site on CD Baby (where you can hear the tracks) and it rocks. The music has hard guitars and the lead girl singer reminds me of ...um? i don't know - but she can belt it out and can ACTUALLY sing. I was not bored. Good tunes. Fav track 'Might Have Seen'. "The first thing that came to my mind when I put this cd on was this was the kind of really cool band that was on some movie that sucked but you were like I have to get this bands cd they're amazing. That's meant as a compliment as I was blown away by the vocals and musically ability of the band. This is an amazing cd where every song is different that will apeal to many people of diverse backgrounds and ages. There was something vagely familiar about the sound but I couldn't place it. As I was listening to the cd five different people walked in and were like "what's that it's really good!" I love the energy in "Watching Over Me". This cd has what it takes to make listeners want to get up and do something which I assume serves them well live. My favorite track is probably "Smoke and Mirrors". This is the fifth release for Scarletta (formerly Electra) and I can't wait to hear more. Scarletta will rock and mesmerize you with moody, passionate lyrics and melodies. Out of Seattle, Scarletta are a tight-knit group of musicians who have developed their finely tuned alternative rock sound over the last six years. Until 2004, Scarletta was named "Electra". By virtue of the band's hooking and provocative songwriting, the female-fronted quartet offers a collage of musical styles with aggressive rock to heavy and dark ballads to unashamed pop.

Scarletta released a new album with their strongest songs yet October, 2004. The CD "Scarletta" is the group's fifth self-production, including four under the former band name.

Originally formed as a songwriting duo in 1996, Corinne Balisky (vocals, lyrics) and Scott Piteo (guitar, synths) recorded their first CD in 1998 and then decided they wanted to turn the project into a full-blown band. Jon Caples (drums) and Curt Udy (bass guitar) were soon enlisted, and the group began performing live in 2000. The band officially became Scarletta in April 2004, after they thought up a band name they found to be unique around the world.
