To-the-point and gritty, 'Saving Sons' is upbeat, weirdo alt-metal with hints of dance rock and textures not usually indicitive of the genre. You'll want to turn this up.
Bio / Background
Rising Conviction has spent the last 6 years blasting eclectic alt-metal in the sweaty underground Phoenix metal scene, forging a straight-rhythm grit of lessons from artists such as Billy Idol, Fetish, and Filter.
'Saving Sons' is the follow up EP to Rising Conviction's 2005 debut, 'Salazar Brothers'. It's o-the-point and gritty, 'Saving Sons' is upbeat, weirdo alt-metal with hints of dance rock and textures not usually indicitive of the genre. You'll want to turn this up.

Saving Sons EP ROCKS!Katsnake wrote on June 09, 2007
The first four songs are straight in-your-face alt-metal with some excellent musicianship. My favorite is.... ok, it is difficult to pick a favorite but I guss it would be Axel F U, though Drugs and For Your Son are also excellent. Track 5 (White Flags Were Up, But They Were Meaningless) is one that you'd want to listen to a bit first, it is a departure from the alt-metal scene, but it's hauntingly beautiful in it's delivery. If you listen close enough you hear the story of a war victim who ends up refusing to be a victim any longer. There is power in the storyline as it unfolds.
