This maiden offering by Montana singer/songwriter, Rhanda Johnson, is a personal and well rounded compilation of some of her most heartfelt originals.
Bio / Background
When listening to the first track, When I’m Ready, one will be captured by the beauty and quality of this artists voice. It won’t take long to recognize that the underlying guitar work is also of outstanding quality. Looking at the credits you will find Grammy award winner, Bill Mize, doing the arranging and playing on this and three other tracks. You’ll also notice a bevy of talented Montana musicians chiming in, most noticeably David Griffith who apparently hasn’t met a musical instrument he can’t master. Mr. Griffith is also the sound engineer and co-producer as well as a member of Montana’s famous Rob Quist and The Great Northern. Listening to the rest of the CD you will uncover an array of styles this singer/songwriter uses including bluegrass, gospel, blues, and folk.
You get a sense from the subject matter of what is important to Rhanda. Most obvious is her family.
