Bio / Background

Do you know what bugs me about many hardcorebands nowadays? It’s all so formulaic, like a polished trick. It is all so safe! Whether it’s fashioncore, metalcore, youthcrew, mosh or whatever, many bands act exactly the way they believe they should.

Luckily, there are still bands with an identity of their own. Bands that don’t practise their ‘moves’ in front of a mirror in their parents bedroom, but bands that are just all over the place. Rentokiller is such a band. They grab you by the throat and scream in your face. No controlled tricks, only an attitude that portrays “I do whatever the fuck I want!” (but not in the Bam Margera MTV-way).

Music wise, Rentokiller has that intense, discordant crust-vibe going on. But within this they incorporate many different influences. Every once in a while you might hear a bit that sounds like Entombed, or a riff that could come from Converge.
