An eclectic blend of acoustic, rock and folk. Blessed with two curses, musician/actor, Reggie Bannister's, music taps into his years as a rock/folk musician coming up from the `60's to present. Some songs are so familiar... you'll swear they've been here
Bio / Background
As Reggie B' (aka Reggie Bannister), I was raised in Long Beach, California, heart of everything. As far as I'm concerned, I learned how to become exactly who I always knew I should be. From the time I could talk I would tell you what I wanted to be. I wanted to be a singer, an actor and a
politician. Unfortunately in today's political arena, I'm too honest to achieve the latter. Which is probably why we now live among the pines in Crestline, California (San Bernardino mountains) and a stones throw from Lake Gregory.

"Fool's Paradise:
AAA Rating... Funk, blues and country-tinged rock...Reggie Bannister has a nice touch for song writing...the playing is excellent!' - Jon - Aiding & Abetting
... So, there I was, tired as hell and half drunk from one of the most brutal flights I've ever taken between L.A. and Chicago.

I drag myself, my guitar, and gig-bag off the plane at O'Hare, look up, and standing there with shit-eating grins, holding Heineken's for me. were my friends - who whisked me away to Riley's Rock house where I found my band that became the 'Jizz Wailin' Ya Doggies' when we recorded 'Fools Paradise.'
Former groups/bands and events:
At something like 15 years of age, I auditioned for and was chosen to be in the non-profit, performance group, 'The Young Americans.' Over the years, I was in 'The Greenwood County Singers (four albums and four singles), Stone Country (one album), 'Jamie Rush, 'DeCastro and Bannister (where we opened for 'Steppen Wolf and 'Iron Butterfly.' There were more... but, like the West Coast Bodega and ''The Good Band,' they've all moved into the Tequila Sunrise of years.

A very pleasant surprise.Epitaph wrote on February 11, 2008
I have been a big fan of Reggie Bannister's work in the Phantasm films for as long as I can remember. Ever since I heard him strum his guitar alongside Bill Thornbury in the 1979 horror classic, I knew that he was more than just a great actor, but a very talented musician as well. This album is ultimate proof of that. It has a very pleasant mix of different instruments accompanied by entertaining lyrics which help you delve deeper into the musical masterpieces that are each song. I especially like the way the Phantasm theme is incorporated into "Have You Seen It." This album is a great classic rock gem and in my opinion, is highly underrated. I would recommend it to anyone who has a good taste in music and is looking for something new; I think that this will be a very pleasant surprise.
