Bio / Background

This recording captures the kinetic energy of a live performance at the 2005 Vision Festival in New York City. The Vision Festival is critically acclaimed worldwide as a signature musical showcase of eclectic, non-compromising avant-garde jazz and creative music.

This performance features an all-star ensemble led by Positive Knowledge’s co-founders Igeoma and Oluyemi Thomas who are joined for this set by the legendary Edward "Kidd" Jordan on tenor saxophone, Chicago-based bass player Harrison Bankhead, and New York drummer Michael Wimberly who also plays the Djembe and contributes percussion throughout.
