Bio / Background
Undoubtedly, the posies are the best power pop band of all times. The Posies come from Seattle but they make a certain kind of pop that one could take as universal. Characterised by a skilful use of shinny guitars and perfect vocal harmonies, the band has gain a huge fan-base worldwide.
Jon Auer and Ken Stringfellow founded the band 15th years ago and since then they have displayed a great music evolution with each new album: "Failure", "Dear 23", "Frosting on the beater", "Amazing Disgrace" (their consolidation album), "Success", "Alive Before The Iceberg" or their legacy as a band "Success + Nice Cheekbones And A Ph.D".
Both Jon and Ken have taken great care of their solo career. Ken is highly experienced as a producer at Sub Pop Records or for different Spanish bands of Houston Party Records as Parkinson D.C and Gallygows. He has also worked for us as A & R for our label (thanks to him we found the talent of artists such as Swag, Death Cab For Cutie, Doug Powell, Damien Jurado...
