When the harmonic rhythm of electronica is hastened, a collection of melodic fragments become distinct points of light. Each interwoven theme tells a story.
Endless rhythmic anarchy is entertaining, but the melodic factor is what must be promoted. We need to have something to feel deeply, and we always need something to ponder. The universe can be considered many points of light, like exuberant textural music, mathematics, or Monet's Water Lilies. It's all the same thing.
The purity of improvisation or chance computer malfunction is the Zen of a performance. It's the rough charm of your favorite coffee cup. When photographing a sunset, or when your system becomes unexpectedly chaotic, you strive to capture a moment's magic forever.
There is always a memory or an imagined future that haunts us. We need to make the experience of our journeys, real and imagined, as interesting as possible. Music can do that.
